Deadlines

When you have a deadline in sales, you feel the pressure as the seller, but you DON'T want your customers to feel like you're pressuring them because there's a good chance you may just lose their business. Trust me they understood you when you said, "Today is the deadline," the first time.

When you force your customer in a corner, you're not doing yourself any favors. Yes, I ran around like a crazy man going to as many quality customers as possible. However, as soon as you walk into the business you act cool, calm, and collected. It's ok if your customer doesn't want to buy from you that day because someone else will. You can still find an option that fits that business at a later date. Pressuring someone to do something right NOW tends to have just the opposite affect.

Deadlines are fun and rewarding when you look back on the hard work you put in to reach your goal by deadline. Nothing is impossible.
